This is about pay-per-download patterns and ebooks, not the freebies. If you want the actual list of patterns, try here. The below info relates to problems downloading the patterns and ebooks sold on this site. Why are some things free and some not? Find the answer here (last paragraph).
To make things easier I’ve split it all into sections: how does it work, payment options, what you need to download the files, problems downloading, refunds, your privacy, more info about me. Additionally, see this page for more info on copyrights.
If you click on the link to purchase a pattern or ebook, you will be taken to a payment page. I use a third-party website (E-Junkie) which hosts the files and processes all orders. The payments are processed through Paypal, which means that the payment page will request either your credit card info, or if you are a member of Paypal, you to login. Once payment has been completed, you will be taken to a ‘thank you’ page and an email will be sent to you with further instructions on how to download the item. This step is necessary as the E-Junkie system prevents unwarranted access to files by sending you a limited-time-only link to download the file. Once you receive the email containing the link, click on it, and you will be taken to a download page. Follow the instructions there, and save the file to your computer. No, nothing gets snail mailed to you and I do not send anything personally. And yes, it does mean you have to print out the pattern/ebook yourself.
At this moment, only Paypal is accepted. However, if you’re having trouble or you don’t want to use Paypal, contact me and we can try and find a suitable alternative. Paypal accepts credit cards and is the easiest option for both myself and you, as it ensures I never receive your credit card information; only the payment and an email address. If payment is not received within 7 days, I will attempt to contact you via email.
My business is an Australian company (see below for more info) and I do not charge GST (sales tax).
No. In most cases, all you need is a free pdf reader on your computer. You may also need a free zip decompressing program for some of the larger files.
Contact me. Although I have limited resources in resolving problems - I use a third-party to host and process file purchases - I will do everything I can to solve the issue, including contacting E-Junkie on behalf of the customer. Most of the time, problems come from customers expecting a download page straight away: the download link will be sent to you via email. Please ensure you read and understand the instructions. There is also a time limit/number of attempts limit set on the file, which means that if you pay but don’t bother to download for a week, access has been revoked. Don’t panic: just email me and I will reset the file access for you.
As a last resort, I’m happy to snail mail a CD copy of the pattern or ebook to you, no extra charge. However, I would appreciate your patience and cooperation in first retrying the download and/or investigating the matter with my third-party. Sometimes it’s just a matter of upgrading the browser you’re using or something simple like that.
Please note: if you do have problems, please understand that I’m not a mind reader and often the more information you give me about the issue, the more I can help you solve it. Do also try checking E-Junkie.com’s FAQ before contacting me.
As I don’t actually post anything to you, I can’t accept returns.
As for refunds, I offer them only for cases where the product can not be recieved at all. As explained above, if the downloads don’t work, I will ship a CD version to you for no extra cost. So I hope I won’t ever need to give a refund… I don’t accept refunds based on changes of the heart, although if you meant to buy one pattern and purchased another by accident, then I’m happy to ’swap’ them.
I receive limited personal information, such as your email address and your IP address. My website statistics collector also records your browsing on my site, which is collected only for my use in improving marketing, and navigation and other design elements on this site. You can read more about the type of browsing info I collect here. E-Junkie also allows me to send newsletters to customers, which you can opt out of at any time by following the links in their emails. E-Junkie may also have their own data collection system but it is not one I am privy too, outside of information about your purchase, such as how many times you have downloaded an item, etc.
I respect your privacy, and do not share your information with any outside party or affiliate (this excludes any information you volunteer to Paypal or any other third party site I use to sell my products on; please check their sites for more details about their policies). Any information I collect is only used to communicate to you about your order/s.
