Start 2012 with the "Beginners' guide to puppetry", a quick list of references to articles that will help you on your journey in discovering the world of puppetry! From definitions to theory, you'll find it all here.
Recently Puppets and Stuff had a bit of a makeover, and I’m happy to say, School of Puppetry has been added to the homepage under ‘Useful Links’. The site shares the space with many American puppet sellers, but also Georgia Stage. If you’re unfamiliar with the site, it’s a forum for puppeteers; a very friendly bunch and always willing to help where they can.
@Dom, Great to hear you've seen the puppets - I've only seen them in a couple of collectibles shops. As the article says, wayang golek tend to be sold as tourist items, so it doesn't surprise me that on occasion they would end up in a local shop or two. What did you mean by "emailing it to me"? Do you have a photo?
