Opinions needed!

One of the things I’m hoping to do is to replace the terrible drop-down menu on the School of Puppetry website. I know it’s a pain to use; but it’s also a pain to replace. In thinking of how best to make the navigation easier, I thought I would also take a look at how best to present the content. I’m not sure that presenting three short intros to posts per page is a good idea. I also think it might be a good idea to make the popular posts, patterns and other frequently asked topics, a little easier to find.

So I’ve made a mock-up of a new design that I think I will probably implement on the site. It rearranges a few things, and I think cleans up the content a fair bit more. (Note: on single post pages such as this I’ll leave the content layout the way it is, but change the top of the design to match up with the new)

This draft design is supposed to represent both the home page and the Learn More category pages. To view it properly, click on the image and it will appear in your browser at roughly the same dimensions as it would in real life. … Ignoring the minor details of the ’sketch’ design, I think it looks pretty good. Feel free to leave your opinion: stay with the current, or change to the new? (Either way the menu is going to be improved)

Can you please put in the links on how to make these sock puppets- yours have fantastic mouths. Can I make one eat? I am wanting to make an old lady who swallowed a fly puppet.
