Puppetry events, Feb 2012
Once again it’s time to update you with news about Australian puppetry events: and once again I find myself simply posting the OPEN pdf file, since it has all the news conveniently written for me.
In it you will find updates about the Tarrengower Puppet Festival, which I’ve mentioned below anyway along with other non-OPEN news; the Melbourne Indigenous Arts Festival; performances by Dream Puppets and Richard Bradshaw in Victoria.
The upcoming Tarrengower Puppet Festival in March has finalised its inaugural program, with info about shows, workshops and ticket prices. Inclusive in this news is the notification that the 2nd Puppetry Slam (previously mentioned here) will take place on the Sunday night of the festival. More info about it can be found at the above website.
Additionally, I have news about Peepshow Inc, who will be performing A bird, a tree, the moon from 15-18th Feb, with a preview on the 14th. It’s a site-specific performance under the old elm tree at City Square (corner of Collins and Swanston Street), Melbourne. Admission is free, but seating is first-come-first-served. More info about the show can be found at their website.
News about the 4th National Puppetry & Animatronics Summit is still forthcoming; I’ve been told that presenters will be notified on the 10th Feb, so hopefully a program of sorts will be available soon after that. In the meantime, you can now access their website. I’ve now added the link to this website, and to the post on puppetry festivals in Australia.

@Jack,
... School of Puppetry on How to make a puppet stageYou're welcome, and thank you for the kinds words! I'm always happy to hear that the info I provide is useful :)
The theatre I mentioned in the article is this one, the Chuncheon Puppet Theater. I went there in 2004 for the annual Chuncheon Puppet Festival. It's an amazing place and if you've never been I really recommend it. They have a small puppetry museum there as well.
If you have any more questions, let me know.
