Ally's Little Creatures closed
The Australian puppet seller in NSW, Ally’s Little Creatures, apparently closed in September. I have deprecated the links to the website, as well as updated the list of Australian puppet shops. You can find the news of the closure at Ally’s facebook page. (Not to be confused with Little’s Creatures, which is a different company)

Copies of "The Foam Book" for sale
I’m selling
10one copy of The Foam Book by Donald Devet and Drew Allison (also known as Grey Seal Puppets). I bought these for a workshop that never happened, and I’m finally getting around to doing something with them. As it happens, the books come direct from Grey Seal Puppets themselves, and have never even been removed from their individually-wrapped shipping plastics - they’re brand new. If you’re curious as to whether or not it’s a good book for you, check out the link above, which is my review of it (the only difference as far as I’m aware - not having opened the books myself - is the front cover which is an updated and prettier version and not the one I use on this site - see the listing below for the actual image of the books). My first muppet-type puppets were made using this book - I never knew anything about building them until reading it - and both of my patterns for muppet-type puppets (here and here) are designed using The Foam Book’s concepts. If you’d like a copy, please check out my eBay listing. I’m happy to ship anywhere in the world.

More new puppet companies added
Last week I added several more links to Australian puppetry companies (along with updating the relevant posts here and here). For the time being, I will take a break from adding more links - there are heaps more to come - and work on the continued migration of content from Puppets in Melbourne. For those keeping track, the following are a list of the new companies added:

New puppet companies added
Last week I completed migrating the links from the Puppets in Melbourne website; this week has given me the opportunity to add new links to Australian puppetry companies that I’ve known about for years (and even a new one actually) but never got around to adding to my site. These companies included:
