Video: How to make a puppet stand
Different puppet types require different display/storage systems. A muppet-type puppet, sock or mouth puppet will require a stand - usually a vertical pole or piece of wood, housed in a heavy base. Some puppet makers even use microphone stands for their puppets! In this video, I show you how to make a stand for muppet-type puppets (or sock puppets). The video includes a list of materials and tools. The following will cost you about $15 in materials and take you less than 20 minutes to make.

Grab the FREE pattern, use the instructions within AND/OR watch the video tutorials belowI took my previously made pattern and reused it for a video tutorial (note, the above download link has instructions for the fabric puppet; the one previously made is the same pattern, just with different instructions on how to use it). The video below shows you how to take the basic finger puppet pattern and with some fleece and cotton fabric or other cloth, you can sew yourself something a bit more stylish. Or you could upgrade the tutorial by adding some extra coolness and make the Ice Cream Finger Puppet pattern.

Video: How to make joints for shadow puppets
This is a tutorial on making joints for shadow puppets. You’ll need a pattern to work with; in which case use either of these two FREE ones - long dog or the redback spider. Follow those instructions until you get to joining the parts together. Then come back here and follow the below video tutorial.

I like how you have both the video and the gallery. The video shows the movements better, while the gallery shows the scale better.
